Selling one bottle of expensive wine..

I was given a very expensive bottle of wine, anywhere between 799-1k is what I see it sells online and as much as I enjoy good wine, I would like to sell it and buy more wine of what I like. Is eBay the best way to sell it or is there a wine broker in the south that I should contact? I know it’s just one bottle so may be tough to sell, any help is much appreciated. Go Tigers!!
Backstory- it was a gift from a family member that said enjoy it or sell it. I know I will not get full price, just looking to sell it and buy more of mid-range wine I really enjoy.

Do you know how it's been stored and can you verify that?
What vintage?
I may be able to help you sell it depending on the wine and how it's been stored.

2001 MASSETO Toscana. Cellar kept from what I was told. Again, I know there are no guarantees but appreciate the help and can drink it if there are no options.

Take it to a great restaurant and pay the corkage fee.

I’d want to see the bottle first but I’d legit pay $350

I'll buy sight unseen for $351

Wine searcher is the very very high end of what you will see any alcohol sold for.

This. Local place with a local manager/ owner that will give a crap. They'll probably offer you wine at retail price for your trade in but who cares?
Or, you sell it for cheap like $400-500. Not sure where you are located but you may try putting in online like Facebook Marketplace for half value.

So your advice is to sell a $1400 bottle of wine for $400 on Facebook? Solid advice right there.

Community Tasting Notes
Consensus is to decant 4-5 hours and a lot said it needs a bit more time.
If it was my wine, and especially since it was a gift, I would put it in the vault for awhile and plan a fall or winter dinner with a couple of friends to feature it in a year or so. Build a big Tuscan roast with pasta and have a couple other wines for antipasti to start.
I wouldn’t take it to a restaurant unless you decant at home, which most people wouldn’t do. It won’t open up enough at a restaurant unless you plan on sitting there for 6 hours.
And I wouldn’t sell it. It was given to enjoy so enjoy it.

Sounds like it was giving to enjoy or sell.
