Do you just hose em down then place on ice before shucking. Do you lose the oyster liquor? I hate the dirt and grit getting on my oyster.

I hose them down and have never had a problem.

We bring them to the washbay at my bil's shop and hit them with the pressure washer

I dump the sack on my driveway. Spray them down really good with the hose pipe. Then I get out my oyster ice chest and a flat blade shovel. I put some ice in the ice chest, a couple scoops of oyster, ice, oysters, ice oysters till its full or im.out of oysters.
Never had a problem with the liquor coming out.

Just hose them down a little and keep them on top of ice. Don't put too much ice on top of them, they can open and die. Also, when they open, you lose all the juice.
