Saturday, the wife and I were craving seafood, so after thinking about going to Parrains or Louisiana Lagniappe, I finally suggested Roberto's. Even though we live in the Dutchtown area, we've only eaten at Roberto's 2-3 times and it's been prob a year since our last visit.

Arrival: We drove up around 8:00 and the place looked busy. There looked to be a good size party as there was a limo out front. The hostess told us it would be 25-30 min wait, no biggie, so we waited in the bar. I had a couple of Abita Strawberries and she had a Bloody Mary.

Appetizer: During our previous visits we had sampled the eggplant app and the fried green tomatoes (both good choices); we wanted something different so we decided on the BBQ shrimp. This was an excellent choice as the shrimp and sauce tasted great with the grit cake that accompanied them.

Salad: Both entrees came with a salad......sensation, nothing fancy.

Entrees: I ordered the special which was a 6-8oz filet with a seafood stuffed chili relleno and 2 sides (mashed potatoes and grilled asparagas). The steak was cooked to pefection (a beautiful medium for me) and the relleno was very tasty. The wife ordered the stuffed fish, which was drum that particular night. I tasted her dish and it was very flavorful and she thoroughly enjoyed the dish.

Dessert: We were both stuffed from our meals, but decided to get 1 order of Banana Foster's Bread Pudding to go. We sampled this later that night and it was done very well.

Bill came out to around $75, so that wasn't bad at all considering the meal we enjoyed.

Overall I give this place a A+ and encourage anyone who hasn't been to this restaurant to give it a try and if you haven't been in a while to give it another shot. It's nice to have a great place like this near the Dutchtown area so you don't have to go into B.R. for every meal.
