If that location was anything like Lafayette than this is probably for the best.

Which location in Lafayette are you referring to? One was locally owned while the other was corporate owned. Each had different menus and food suppliers

You didn’t get any pewter mugs?

Spoke to the corporate owner last month and asked about the pewter mugs. He made a financial decision several years ago to stop using them due to theft. 15-20 mugs would "disappear" weekly from each location. Mugs were purchased through a distributor in NY and cost $25 each (a case of 12 was $300). GP currently uses acrylic cups that cost $1 each.

That would be the first time the cheese is melted and the fries are hot.

The newer one in South Lafayette. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. About 1/3 into it, there appeared to be 20 or so crawling "things" in it. Upon closer inspection it was little worm type critters. Manager comes over, picks up my bowl for a closer look and said with a grin "yep.... those are lettuce worms - sometimes our salads have em" then walks off. Didn't offer a new one without the little guests or to take it off the bill - nothing. So I'm never going back, assuming it doesn't burn down first.

The real Lafayette location on Johnston, or the fake one on Kaliste Saloom?

That’s the fake one. I’ve never stepped foot inside that one and never will.

Yeah. That one has always sucked. Large menu and poor quality.

The other location recently changed their name to "Original Patti" . I guess because they are not corporately owned

Kaliste Saloom is owned by the original owner/investor who started GP in 1971. He sold the Johnston Street location to the owners of Pizzaville and they renamed it The Original Patti (they also own the N. Laffy location at Couret Farms)
