Just had them for lunch. Really good. I heard they are under new ownership so maybe the food will be like the "old days".

Maybe they need to go back to the old prices, or increase the servings. Last time I went, it was about 8 bucks for 2 slices of brisket, an ice cream scoop of commercial tasting potato salad, a spoon full of beans and a slice of "texas" toast.

Ownership changed in January. If you went before then, might want to give the Monroe or Baton Rouge stores another try.

I never cared for Podnuh's. I won free food there a couple of times for football "Pick 'Em" contests, but their food always tasted like straight up smoke... it tasted like a campfire smells
