Rewind ® - Irish Channel Parade - Arse is still alive

This weekend, Arse, I and ~400 other brethren rolled through the Irish Channel and made the panties drop. We met up at Ave. Pub to have a few Jim Beams, but Arse had to say some prayers before he dove into his Elijah Craig Avenue Pub Private Select Single Barrel.
Realizing what was ahead of me, I wore some special identifying socks in case I got lost and my bride would have to locate me.
From there, I went dark and had some Irish Channel Stout. It was very rich to me, and it was a little too filling.
After Ave. Pub, we went to a preparade party in the Channel, and we had some Abitas and locally distilled rum and Vodka from Cajun Spirits Distillery fresh off the still. The vodka was the smoothest I ever have tasted, mind you I was pretty buzzed, but I am looking forward to the day I can buy it off of Rouse's shelves.
There was a lot of poboys, fried chicken, desserts, but I forgot to eat. Before I knew it, our club was setting up on Mag and St. Andrew. Arse and I decided to test our faith and decided to dance with the devil's potion.
Why people would pay to drink that crap is beyond me. The homeboy next to us obviously met his match - the bricked pavement on the corner.
Before we got rolling, I grab some canned beers from the club's ice chests and was truly feeling no pain.
We then began to roll and crowds were spilling into the streets.
Random strangers were give us cold beers, jello shots, and Jameson shots. I am glad I wasn't roofied. However, I did come across a thirsty bulldog.
When we made the turn on Louisiana and Mag, the end was in site and there were ladies looking for kisses and garters every where.
But the most important drink(S) of my day were served to me at the Joint after I was picked up on the route by my lovely wife.
I know CSB....Arse is better than you at this...stick to your day job.
Stay thirsty my friends.

He was leaking. Tevas and cobble stone don't mix well.

I didn't get messed with on my walk through the old projects on Louisiana. I walked from Rendezvous to Jefferson @ Claiborne with a bloody leg. I hit the showers and went to L Pud's wedding.
I can't speak on behalf of the rest of the guys. I can confirm that my buddy lost his shirt to a chain link fence on his walk home.

None of us got divorced or lost our ladies...not that much drama this year. Just a lot of guys sore and banged up.
It's a good day when you don't pass out in the bed of a stranger's truck and lose your keys while your family waits for you at the end of the parade.

Roy's dancing like the golden girls was nice. I was dehydrated and in a world of pain.
