Dude, the airport area is a shithole. The restaurant options are very limited.
Just drive the extra 15 minutes into the city and eat pretty much anywhere you want.
We aren't talking a 45 minute difference.

New Orleans is a small town, you can be at the Crowne Plaza and Downtown/Uptown/Mid City all of Metairie in under 20 minutes...... treat yourself.
