If you haven't, get the wings at TJ's. It's a meal and they are the best around.

I need to retract my last statement, I have had the wings before and I do enjoy them. But the baby backs are the money call.

If I had to rank them out of the ones I tried I would say:
1. Pimanyoli's
2. TJ Ribs
3. Couyon's
4. Voodoo
5. Podnuh's
My numbers 3-5 are very close to each other though.

Has anyone else been to Sweet's on Government?
If not, you're missing out

Their ribs and brisket stand out. There's a clear smoke ring and the ribs need no sauce. Corn maque choux and rice and gravy FTW

Ribs......Pimanyoli's (ribs shouldn't fall off the bone)
Pulled pork........Voodoo (I don't want my pork to be sauced)
Brisket..........I've yet to find a place in BR w/ good brisket
Sounds like I need to give Suckers & Deep South a try.

You say this like it's gospel and part of some purest barbeque angle, and yet, places across the country completely disagree with you.

Actually tried Deep South for lunch today (first time). I got the craving after reading this thread and since I work at Exxon I figured what the hell.
I was actually really good and they give you a good amount of food (3 meat combo w/ 2 sides bread and bread-pudding = $10)
Out of the places I've tasted I rank:
1. Pimanyoli's (good all around)
2. Deep South (also all around good, really liked the ribs and their sauce)
3. Big Jakes (I really like the pulled pork and chopped up brisket sandwiches are very good)
4. Sucker's (I thought this place was good and reasonably priced)
If you're looking for good brisket, I had some from Whole Foods a couple of weeks back and it was very good (prob best brisket in B.R.).....had a nice smoke ring.
P.S.---Jay's BBQ and French Dip are some of the worst I've ever tasted. Very little food, with no taste.......I'll never eat there again...just my opinion.

To me it is, but that's just my opinion. Included it so others who shared my taste would know what to expect at those joints.
