Yes when it first opened in the mid 80's. The shopping center had a Delchamps, K&B, pizza joint named Cassano's, Charles Alexander Sporting Goods, a movie rental store and other stores that a young kid could care less about.

Yes they take a food stamp card. I live at ivy park apartment next store.

Not sure when Ted Mex and sammys opened but seems like it was in 80s.

Sammy's SB opened in 95. Tex Mex around that same time.

I like shoppers value a lot more than Ralph's

The Hallmark store has been the only constant in that shopping center.

The outbuilding Firestone Store was built just as the shopping center was complete and it's still there.

Think that Hallmark store is owned by David Corona who was the Supt of West Baton Rouge Parish schools.

Yeah, I forgot about the Firestone. And it has saved me a couple of times by being open on Sunday.

That Tex Mex place was pretty good for the 1st couple of years. It must have changed ownership and names a few times after that. It got so bad a few years ago that someone told me they were running a whorehouse in the back of the restaurant. Don't know if that's true or not,
