Question About Roux

Probably most on here know that a light roux thickens more than a dark roux. My question is - how much dark, dark roux does it take to thicken the same as a medium-dark roux or a peanut-colored roux. Any experienced cooks or pro chefs have any thoughts on this?

I'm thinking about getting the Gumbo Calculator project going again, but I don't have this knowledge.
