are these issues normally an easy fix?
found a louisiana grills pellet grill online for $100. Seller says it has issues with "the pellet feeder".
just trying to see if this is an easy fix get get it up and running for a good price.
i understand it is probably hard to answer not knowing the underlying issue with the grill. TIA

It might be because he let it get wet and the auger tube got clogged and when it dried it made a solid clump of saw dust. The pellets when wet expand and turn into saw dust.
You could take it apart clean and keep it in a covered area. May need to replace the auger. You could call the company and they should be able to troubleshoot.
The company may even have a forum that you could join and ask questions.

At worst, i was thinking i would have to buy a new auger. Is there anyway you think it could be unfixable? I just don't want to be throwing money away. Thanks

I don't think there'd be a reason it couldn't be fixed. Check to make sure parts for that model are available. Those should be good grills and for that price it could be a steal. How old is it?

Guy says he has it still but did not respond after asked if he knew more about why it wasn't working. Model isnt listed but from the picture it looks like an older model because i see the new ones have a thermo on the drum. The picture he posted doesn't have one.

He got back to me saying "Everything works but the chute out of the feeder gets clogged"
He is looking for a model number.

Sounds like a deal to me. Got pics?
Like I said it may be a moisture problem causing the pellets to expand and clog.

Alright, so contact Louisiana Grills, send them the picture and ask about the model and parts availability.

Who can tell the best product among those listed on this site? https://bestoffsetsmokers.com/best-louisiana-grills/

I just went through this in the last two weeks.
Buy it. Easy fix.
I should have video documented it, but basically, my wife grilled with it while I was out of town. She let it get rained in. All the pellets turned to sawdust mush and dried in it, siezing up the auger.
I didn't know and went to grill. Turned it on and walked away for five minutes. Discovered issue. Cleaned out hopper of sawdust, unscrewing it so I could access the auger motor.
Disconnected the Auger motor, unscrewed the glide washer, then backed out the auger using a pipe wrench.
I used a 1-1/4" round brush on my drill with a 12"bit extender and cleaned out the auger tube, then used my brush wheel on my bench grinder and polished up my auger.
I reinstalled everything, but the auger wouldn't feed enough pellets to come up to heat. This may be what you need to replace. The auger motor's plastic gears stripped when the auger was stuck.
I ordered one on Amazon for $22. Put it on and now it works just like new.
All those parts are available if you look for them online.
Good luck! Post your success later.
