You should just give your beer to your designated driver to mule for you and run home...

Does Grand Reserve even make the top 5 beers available to you at Grand Reserve Day?

What do you mean? Here is what they will have

Then you can buy Grand Reserve, Ghost, Bloom, Reve, and the Envie. Plus their other flagship beers.

What he means is, is it in your top 5 favorites.

The answer is no. If I go I'll get 2, maybe 3 bottles. I'll decide tonight and try to buy a ticket before bed. If they are still available, great. If not, c'est la vie. I'll give one of my friends some cash. Or 4miles. He's a grade A mule.

Ah I bought a 4 pack of the Envie, Bloom, and Reve. The rest I can decide later if I want. I am curious about the new Envie and Bloom.

But no, I didn't purchase a GR last year and no intent this year. Imperial Reserve I would but not a huge Barley wine fan.

I'm more excited for the sours, Bloom, DDH Envie, and Maple Shade than Grand Reserve

This. I can remember just a few short years ago, when Grand Reserve was the star of the show, so I'm guessing that's why they named it Grand Reserve Day.

Now, if you told me to make a flight of 5 beers off that list, Grand Reserve would not make the cut.

Same here. I am not buying any. Like you've said before, I can appreciate the style, but when I drink one I never think "I'd like another". I am just not a fan.

Expect a box from me the week of 11/21.

Damn, due to LSU game I may not go now. If anyone from Northshore going, I'll put some money up front and kick in a little extra for some beer loot.

How much?
For the right price, I'll kill 5 hookers.

This exactly. Though I really do love a good barleywine, especially one that's been hiding in the back of the pantry for a year or so. I bought 4 bottles this time. One for my BIL who just helped deliver my second nephew, one for Funky Tide unless Bama beats us in which case I'll lure him in and kill him, one for now, one for saving.

I did the same.

Parish looks like they have put a lot of time and effort into GRD. The new line up of beer releases is long overdue, and they all sound incredible.

I mean, he said that he expects Bloom to look like a milkshake. That's not fricking around.
