I've had the beloved cane real twice now. Once in a bottle and once on tap. I had it yesterday on tap and told the server that he brought me Miller Lite. Server brought me a new beer and said that the first one was canebreak. It is just an overall weak beer.

I had Envie (pale ale) tonight in a bottle. Also a very weak beer. Didn't even taste like a pale ale. No hoppiness at all.

Why do so many people on this board love this brewery? Is it just because it's another LA brewery? What am I missing that is supposed to be so good?

I find it to taste nothing like Miller Lite. Maybe they had their lines mixed up?

I'll drink 1-2 them switch for something else. It has a heaviness about it.

Parish is good because of farmhouse ipa, ghost in the machine and dr hoptagon. Not because of an easy drinking wheat beer.

I find both Canebreak and Envie to be very good. Different strokes for different folks.

Yea nothing like Miller Light and if you are used to the Craft beer scene in La then Parish is a step above

Yes.

Tin Roof is crap but people buy it because "Oh look I'm drinking a local beer"

I really like Canebreak. I also find it nothing even remotely like Miller Lite.

Just because some people buy Tin Roof, that doesn't mean it's good. Search this board and see that they don't get all that many positive comments.

Parish is great.
