Went last night...best meal I've had in a long time

Had the bacon wrapped scallops to start. Tied with Lonesome Dove in FW for best scallops I've ever had. They came seated atop a long piece of bread that was resting in a lemon butter garlic puddle. It was incredible. The others got some crab cakes, which were okay, and another guy had the shrimp remoulade, which I didn't try, but looked incredible. Nice amount of shrimp that came with it.

Had the 12oz filet, medium rare. I'm usually a ribeye guy, but something compelled me to get the filet. Awesome salt/pepper crust, perfectly cooked. For sides, we got Mac and cheese (best I've ever had), potatoes au gratin (pass on these), and the steak fries (didn't eat). 2 buddies got the ribeye, one of which gave me a piece. I'd probably go ribeye next time fyi

Impressive wine list as well. We went with the Duckhorn Cab, which was excellent.

Didn't get any pics, it was dark as shite in there and didn't want to look like a weirdo taking pics of my food

I did that a couple weeks ago at a place I hit for steak. They had a 10 oz filet on the menu, and I figured I'd try it. I usually get a ribeye.

I'm not worried. Still attracted to women.

Went for my birthday this year, had a 28 oz Porterhouse and it was amazing. Also got some oysters on the half shell. Their mashed potatoes are excellent.

Dessert I got a massive cheesecake.

I ate all the steak and sides but I could only down half of the cheesecake.

Awesome steakhouse, just as you described. We went there upon recommendation of the concierge at The Houstonian, where we were staying several years ago.

As you described, it is a place must-go-to place for semi-formal to formal dining. Perfection all around with a huge wine menu.
