Starting to plan an outdoor kitchen and looking at building in a kegerator with 2 taps and room for 2 slim kegs. Anyone have any experience doing this or advice about which brand to go with?

They are not built to be outside. The cold weather will eventually kill it.

I can help you with the keg system parts. There are many kits you can buy but you generally pay a lot more for a kit than you would buying parts separately. The sellers assume you don't know what to buy so overcharge for the convenience of buying their kit.The kits also have small Co2 tanks, 5 gallons usually, which is ok but you'll have to refill it more often. A 20 lb tank is not much more expensive and it will last a couple of years depending on your use. I assume you will be buying kegs of beer from a store rather than homebrewing and filling them yourself, if thats the case then you will need to buy a couple of corny kegs which run about $110 each. You can search on craigslist and possibly find used Co2 tanks and kegs which is where I bought most of mine.

I just bought several of these items last week as I'm building a second kegerator. I homebrew and have 5 full kegs right now and have 2 of them sitting on the floor beside my kegerator. All of this below will run you about $350

Faucets

Co2 gas manifold

Liquid line

Co2 Gas line

Co2 and liquid locks, you'll need 2 sets

Co2 Gas Regulator

Co2 Tank You will need to have the tank filled locally or most likely, trade the tank you buy for a filled tank, kind of like you do with propane. So I would talk to a local supplier and see how much they charge for a filled tank, it may be cheaper than buying a new tank.

Don’t do it. It’s a pain the arse.

Buy a nice stainless front vented outdoor under counter fridge.

I don't have much to add except you can get your CO2 cylinder filled at a fire extinguisher company when it runs out.

Kegco/beverage factory makes some. Outdoor rated stain less will last you longer.

Mine is an under counter and my builder drilled a hole through the countertop to pass the tubes to the tower.
