We have lived in the area for 11 years. Drive past the place almost every day but, have never gone in.

Last night we decided to eat there.

Parking was ridiculous.Ended up parking at the opposite end of the lot.

The catfish victoria was pretty good. The Crab Mornay that they pour over it was delicious.

Crab cakes were on par with frozen versions you can buy at any grocery store.

The extremely loud live band made it almost impossible to have a conversation. Would have been much better if they would at least close the doors between the bar and restaurant.

Anyone else here have experience with this place?

Food sucks, draft beer tastes like the lines have never been cleaned.

It's fun to have a couple drinks and listen to the live music, otherwise a pass

We go to both locations in Biloxi. Pretty good. Nothing spectacular.

It taste frozen cause it all comes from Sysco like the rest of that dudes joints. You can find the same damn food at 10 different restaurants on the coast. Potato salad, gumbo etc... all the same.

That dude will definitely top with sheepshead and or regular meat instead of lump crabmeat too.... advertise and pay for lump Then serve regular/fin/claw and or sheepshead. They don't have to tell you that it isn't crabmeat either.

Much better food out there for the same price.

It is owned by Davis Dicharry and his partners in Brewbachers and they have less Sysco than a lot of places. It has no relation to the Biloxi which is of a different name.

Cold beer once in awhile but never been on my radar. I'll go behind it and get a Roma's pizza instead.

The one in Mobile off Airport Road has some damn good shrimp and grits on their lunch menu. Their seafood pot pie on the lunch menu was pretty good. The seafood stuffed portabello mushroom on the lunch menu is also outstanding if you like that kind of dish. Their lobster and crab bisque is solid if they don't get all stingy on the seafood.

For sides I love their turnip greens and their sweet potato burlee I think is what it's called is very good. Matter of fact I thought I saw a post on here where someone was asking how to make that dish.

My opinion of the place is its just okay but I would never go there at night and pay their dinner prices. It's 5 minutes from my office so I eat there occasionally for lunch when I'm not traveling.

The one across the bay from Mobile in Spanish Fort is not as good as the one in Mobile. I've heard the one by the casino in Mississippi is about like the one in Mobile.

There are much better places to eat in Baton Rouge but again it does have an okay lunch menu to choose from without breaking the bank.

I almost forgot. My wife has ordered the fried oysters there twice and they were very, very small. The grilled oyster choices were good though particularly the Rockefeller one.

Damn. Not sure how I missed your comment about it's not the same as the one I'm talking about. Oh well I just wrote an essay on the one in Mobile.

Went there a few times, a long time ago.

Food was decent, but service was hit or miss and if there was a band, it was loud as shite.

With Sno's and Philay's (hell, even Sammy's). there are much better options for seafood.

This

Place used to be really good back in the day but they have gone way down hill and continue to slide IMO. Used to go all the time for the live music on Wednesdays, but the food was so hit and miss that we stopped going.
There are many other choices in the area with better food.

Sounds exactly like my wife and me.

We went about two weeks ago for the first time.

.

We wanted to sit in the bar as we didn't mind the music. However, the bar area was packed and we sat in the main dining area. Doors were closed, but you could hear the music quite clearly, which was acceptable to us.

We ordered two appetizers only. Both were mediocre at best. Homemade onion rings and blackened mix grill. I didn't care for the blackened dish - shrimp were small and crab meat portion was skimpy and the onion rings were very greasy.

Didn't order a main meal. And probably won't ever.

i had assumed it was just another oyster bar. Saw the menu online and decided to try it. Certainly nothing to scream about.

Update went for brunch yesterday and it was really good. Eggs Benedict was really good. Their "traditional breakfast" is more than one person needs to eat. 2 eggs,2 pancakes, grits, bacon and toast. I'll likely go back for brunch again. The atmosphere is much more relaxing on Sunday morning.

I've been 3 times in 15 years and I just never walk away thinking it's great. The atmosphere kinda sucks and it's in a gas station parking lot.
