I just received this as a gift from a customer. How nice of a gift is this? The internet's price range is all over the place.

That's msrp. I think the secondary price is a couple of hundred more. Sarcasm?

I know it is good whiskey, but is it all hype? Is it easy to get?

It's not bad juice at all, but not worth the 300 secondary price because of the name
Nice gift, drink it

It's not especially easy to get and it's good bourbon. Seems like a fine gift to me. Not exactly sure how to answer.

Thanks. I guess I'll save it for a beach and cigar night.

Is this stuff really that expensive now? Before the hype started, you used to be able to get this stuff for $25. Of course, this was in the mid 2000's.

I got a bottle for Xmas 2014 and I think the person paid around $95 for the bottle. It is pretty good but not worth that price.

It's the equivalent of Weller 12. I used to get them for $28 on the reg around 10 years ago.

Not sure the type of business you are in but I'd consider that a nice gift. It takes effort and thought to get it, as much or more than any other gift. As said, worth about $100 but I'd easily say it's worth 2-3 times that as a gift because it takes work or know how in order to obtain it.

wrong...

weller 12 is 90 proof as opposed to 107 and 2 years older

Old Rip 10yr is a decent 10yr wheated bourbon. it's obviously part of the van winkle line up so the hype is stupid. Is it worth $300, no but thats what it sells for secondary. Drink it and enjoy it
