Need some recommendations for some NYC Go to Spots...
-place for Group of 10+/- family style Italian decently priced. No one wants to pay $40 for an entree of meatballs & spaghetti.
-NY hot dog
-NY slice of za
-any dive bar / street food combos
-brunch spots

I'll hang up and listen.

Thanks in advance

Well even though there are like 10,000 threads on this I'll still contribute....

Crif Dogs...also has a "secret" bar only accessed through the phone booth inside
Shake Shack for a great burger

Both cheap but great places

Carmine's ....upper west side...around 90th St.
I believe....excellent family style Italian.

Do not go to the one in the theater district.

Pizza...DiFara's in Brooklyn.
Trust me. You will wait in line an hour and pay $32 but its worth every penny.

you could probably do little italy and walk around and find a place. but i'd get a reservation at Carmine's. UWS. it's a chain, but it's really good if you've never been. family style portions.

crif dog. not sure if they can fit 10 people inside, though

please don't call it za. and artichoke. chelsea by the highline. then go walk around the highline at night.

get a street gyro. you can't go wrong with that. and just pop into any bar. if you're in midtown/theatre district and need a break, go to lillie's victorian bar. it's not a dive. it's pretty cool, tho.

if you need it for 10+ then i'm not sure. but your best bet is to find a place that takes reservations. how far away is the trip? i suggest cookshop, but you'll need to book that 4 weeks in advance.

-La Mela for reasonably priced Italian family style. Kind of a tourist trap, but good enough food for what you're looking for in that price range.

-Hot dog--Grey's Pappaya

-Slice of pizza--Joe's Pizza at Bleeker st/6th ave, also a location at Union square

Waverly Inn is my favorite brunch spot for a large group, but it's pricey. It's in the West Village at 16 Bank Street. If you reserve ahead they can accommodate you. The area is cool to explore.

Artichoke on the high line

Definitely go to Ellen's on Broadway. The waiters take turns singing and they're actually good at it. Would be a fun place for a group.

If you want a NY street hotdog, go to Rockefeller Plaza and there's usually a food truck on 50th Street at 5th Avenue, btwn St. Patrick's Cathedral and Sak's.

It seems like you like the street food scene, and if that's the case, get to Bleecker Street and walk Bleecker. Also, walk down Macdougal Street, right off Bleecker. You'll find good eats here.

there are street food vendors on every street but, most of them are serving the same stuff. I remember my first trip there they had vendors across from the old yankee stadium selling some pretty tasty kabobs. didn't get a chance to try them this time around.
