Just bought some beautiful small okra and want to get the best result with roasting. Whole or sliced? Hot oven? Olive oil? What's your best method?

I put them on a baking sheet in the oven at about 350 degrees and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast until they get a little brown but not too mushy. They are delicious this way!!

Slice in circles. Salt and pepper. Roast at 400 till crispy. Like okra popcorn.

Have you ever eaten them raw? Very good actually. Of course, I'm talking about okra fresh from the garden.

Cut the hard steam end off. Slice in half lengthwise. Salt. Eat.

This. I cook this probably 5 times a week (my wife REALLY likes okra).
