Taking my wife up for a weekend here in a couple weeks for her 30th birthday with a group of 8 and looking for some guidance. I've been to Nashville plenty but never have really tried any finer places to eat.

Suggestions?

He left our martins BBQ which is better than both listed. Other than that he did a killer job on the eatery's.

I would definitely second the suggestions for City House, Rolf & Daughters, and Husk. All very nice and very good...

my favorite place at the moment is a tacqueria in franklin where they have Pacifico on draft and serve $3 ceviche so i'm out as far as 'finer places to eat' goes

I've said it before, and it's worth mentioning again,

Party Fowl

Easily the best hot chicken in town.

For BBQ, whoever said Martin's is correct. Love the Redneck Taco.

Some finer places I've eaten at recently and enjoyed are:
-Miel
-Husk
-Urban Grub
-Josephine
-If you want a steakhouse, Jimmy Kelly's is always my first suggestion.

Other good spots that are not fine dining:
-If you want pizza, Bella Napoli is my favorite spot. Five Points Pizza is my second suggestion. I didn't love Lockland Table as much as some people seem to.
-The Family Wash - Good food, beer, and sometimes good music.
-Rosepepper
-If you want hot Chicken, go to the East Nashville Boltons. The Melrose location is bleh. No line like Princes.
-Burger Up or Pharmacy for burgers, though both can get crowded.
-The Smiling Elephant for Thai
-Martin's for BBQ

Bumping this to say that we went to Urban Grub last Saturday night and it was absolutely perfect. We had a group of 7 and none of us had a single complaint. Great seafood, apps, service, etc. I had the lamb chops and they were perfect. Haven't had an experience like that in a long time. Thanks for the recs.
