Looking for places to eat during our trip to Munich in July. We will be staying about 2 miles north of old town.

Augustiner-Keller beer garden was one of my favorites there as far as the beer gardens go.

Wirtshaus Maximilian
Loved all of those for your more "traditional" places. Also, it is at least worth stopping by Hofbrauhaus even if just for a beer.

Also, do not miss an afternoon at the Viktualienmarkt biergarten in the city center, mostly locals and can shop the market for eats or get a brat from the adjacent stand
Hofbrau spot under the Chinese tower in the Englischergarten is also cool to take a bike to on a nice day
