I have this exact model. Worth every penny. Believe I picked it up on eBay last year for $50. The wireless range on this particular model is spot on. Up to 300ft I believe.

If from Amazon, I bet there's a decent chance that a note to their custome care would get you a credit for the difference. Not 100% but they tend to err on the side of kind

If you do a lot of smoking and/or large cuts, it's absolutely worth it, even if you don't get the sale price.

From what I've been told, yes. The fact that you can watch your temp from your house without having to go out to the grill/smoker makes it worth it to me.

Definitely worth it. My only issue with the 732 is I wish the range between sending unit and receiver was a little but father. Other than that, mine has been bullet proof and I've made some fantastic meals with it.

I was told the black one has a longer range, but its $40 more so I'll pass since my smoker is on my back patio.
