If you want to stay local, they have all the NOLA products, which are pretty good. Good range of Clown Shoes-pick your favorite type, most are good. I'm also a big fan of Ommegang, which we only got in Louisiana in the past year or so. Again, several different types-Three Philosophers is one of the better domestics out there.

If you are a Belgian fan, can't go wrong with Delerium, Corsendonk, Chimay, etc.

Green Flash makes some awesome stuff and it's pretty affordable. $8-9 bucks for a 4 pack. NOLA brewing is the best local brewery (imo) if you wanna stay local.

If you like Hoegarrden, try Ommegang Witte, Harpoon UFO, or Sierra Nevada's Kellerweis.

Stone Russian Imperial Stout
St. Arnold Endeavour
Green Flash West Coast IPA
Green Flash Imperial IPA
Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
Sierra Nevada Narwhal Russian Imperial Stout

Just a few that are widely available and very good. If you're just starting into craft beers I'd probably stick to a few more mellow beers first. Sierra Nevada & Nola have some very good bridge beers... Sierra Nevada has Pale Ale, Hefeweizen, Stout, and Celebration & Nola has Blonde, Brown, and Hopitoulas.

Bought this the other day. Still haven't tried. Also bought a few green flash 4-packs. Haven't tried those either. I'm waiting for Christmas.

Picked up Clown Shoes pecan and Vampire Slayer. Went to the one off bluebonnet, not as big of a selection as the one on Highland. Gonna make a stop by Calandros later. I'm headed on Jones Creek any stores around there with a good selection?

Nice I'm anxious to try them but waiting til the weekend.

I also have 2 Pumpkinators that somehow made it through thanksgiving. I don't see them getting to the New Year though.

It's good, but I think Old Rasputin, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout and Stone Imperial Russian Stout are all better readily available versions of the style.
