Anyone here have much experience with mamajuana? Any tips as far as what to look for? I'll be going to Punta Cana in July and I'm intrigued about this drink. Is it good? Is it worth trying to bring some back? TIA

Most resorts in DR will give it away along with a bottle of rum. Often referred to as Dominican Viagra, it is used more like bitters and less as a stand alone drink. The bottle I have is Don Ramon and "this product increases male virility" is written in four languages on the front label. Happy hunting!

So mamajuana is the herb/root medley and not the drink itself? And you soak it in rum, then typically mix with red wine and honey right? How's the taste?

The stuff you buy in the store there is pretty bad.
