Anyone ever try this? I've been getting the paninis. They are good. This little girl making mine right now though. I don't think she's ever made a sammich in her life. This should be interesting. I just saw her put an entire cup of mayo on it.

The fried chicken is legit.
However, don't go for the red/white beans. They look delicious, but don't have much flavor. Or am I confusing them with Chicken Shack and it's the smothered okra that has no flavor?

I sometimes get food from the hot food bar or the deli (I guess you'd call it a deli). I wish they'd put what will be available on a FB page or something. Also, different locations have completely different things available.

My problem is you pay by the pound and I wanna get several of everything - end of with 3 pounds of food.

I always get the BBQ brisket. It's not great, but it's really cheap for the amount of food you get. $6.99 and I feed myself, my wife, and my 2 year old.

Yes at the epicurean. The one on st Charles in Houma always has decent lunch. Even their wraps in the cooler. 5.99. Can't beat it

Ate at the one in Thibodaux yesterday.

Had the brisket sandwich and a slice of pizza. Had that sandwich a few times before and was good but yesterday was awful. Not sure what happened.

I agree with above poster that the sushi is good(nothing special though).

I grew up on the Village East Rouses lunches. It was always pay by the pound, use to be a protein, 2 sides and a roll for $4.29.

Legit Items.....

Fried Catfish
Baked Catfish
Cabbage Rolls
Eggplant Dressing
Meat Sauce Spaghetti
Baked Chicken
Rice Dressing

In the cold case in the Seafood Dept that smoked fish dip is real good.

Its not on Whole Foods' level but its pretty good. I eat at the one at Juban often and usually go with the bbq plate. Not bad for a quick and cheap lunch option.

Make a plate. Sit down at a table and eat it. Throw box away. Walk out the door empty-handed without paying. Profit.

Rouse's in the CBD for lunch is legit. Outside of that one I'll pass.

I always liked the baked chicken and rice dressing. Fried chicken is good too. I think its around 7 bucks a pound now? A couple breasts w/ dressing will run you 12-14 bucks.

Their chicken salad is pretty good also. They make chicken salad wraps in single servings, chicken salad sandwiches, and self-serve from the salad bar.
