Not much on earth better than quality honey. Arse, I truly envy your quality of eating.

On bleu cheese? I haven't heard of that before, but it sounds like it wouldn't work for me...

Thursdays are an exception. I need to get it all in during Mardi Gras. Lent is around the corner.

My wife has 6 hives so we load up on honey. I mix in my Greek yogurt.

Half cup of honey, nice pinch of cayenne. Heat in microwave 10-15 seconds and mix well. Brush over nice big slab of salmon and roast.

Or do the same thing and drizzle over blue bell vanilla bean ice cream then a bit of flecked sea salt.

Honey on blue cheese, gorgonzola, roquefort, all the good ones you can find at Whole Foods or a quality cheese shop is delicious.

Even better-fresh figs stuffed with blue cheese and drizzled with honey. Bake in an oven for a few mins. Yum. Or bake crackers with blue cheese and honey. That's good too!

Is this the honey people who are always out at the Farmer's Market with that big weird looking guy who sounds like Karl from slingblade?

I didn't purchase it. Next time I go, I'll ask.

I think the farmer's market people are Bocage Bee & Honey. They get their honey from places around Baton Rouge.
Here's my trick. Take a honey comb, put it in a mason jar with bourbon and let it sit for a week or two. Break up the comb with a wand mixer and strain it through cheesecloth. Drink all day long during Mardi Gras.

I've seen it at Southside Produce. I'm going to pick some up next time I go in there.

That's the best description of that guy. Weird dude, but the honey is the shiznit.

Yes, they are at the Denham Springs Farmer's Market. You can even get it by the gallon. It's no orange blossom honey but its good stuff farmed locally.

Most honey from the gulf states up the eastern seaboard comes from Chinese tallow trees. It is the biggest "honey plant" in the South. I've seen some bee hives in South Plaquemines Parish that I would think they put in the citrus groves down there for orange blossom honey.

The best honey is the local honey. Much of the store bought honey comes from China via third parties and is watered down and even cut with corn syrup.

Yes, that's the one. He does sound like the dude from slingblade, but he has aspergers syndrome and he's my brother. That's why he sounds like that. The honey is good, though... Right?
