That's about a six mile gap. I hope one is not going to cancel out the other.

I love that store. I dont shop anywhere else now, if I can help it. They have grass fed beef now too.

My favorite parts are the fresh meat case and the organic nuts, granola, rice, oats, and quinoa dispensers. Beer bomber selection could be better. Especially when you see the huge wine selection.

Guy is trying to sell it, but the lot was way low so he is trucking in dirt ( illegally) to raise it

What is illegal about it? Is he stealing the dirt?

And my rabbit was killer but I didn't buy it from there.

Don't know all the details, but has to do with new parish ordinance, something about only being able to redistribute the dirt on the same piece of property and not being able to haul new dirt in and raising your property above your neighbors, may only apply to commercial stuff? If you are really interested I can get the details and post them tomorrow

Just curious. I know the property and I'm sure it's not wetlands, which could affect it and isn't the rear bordering the railroad track? To be honest I don't see the property being that low and anyone building on it the building pad will be brought in and raised to elevation so I just don't understand the complaint.

I will find out for sure tomorrow, but if I remember right the north side is wetlands (drainage slough ) not sure how far the actual wetlands go, and I do believe the rear is bordered by the RR track, I was amazed when I was told that the piece was actually like 6 feet low

Well you can mitigate wetlands for a fee which can be substantial. Post what you find out. I'm interested.

If the property is in a flood zone the fill must be mitigated. They couldn't just import fill from anywhere. That's why properties sometime mysteriously slowly get filled at night.

I'm aware of that which is surprising since this is a big chunk right on Airline next to LeBlancs.

Okay, from what I understand no fill dirt can be brought into a job site that is in a flood zone unless it is mitigated

A few other details about thus situation that I do not feel appropriate posting
