Across from Doubletree. What's good there? Never think about it or hear about the place.

Legit local food, Lafayette establishment, reasonable prices, atmosphere ranks 5 or lower, depending on what you are looking for. Kind of older crowd

one of our go-to spots. the atmosphere is dogshit, but you go there for the food. everything is priced pretty well. fried shrimp, softshell crab, onion rings, all awesome. grilled flounder filet is awesome, gumbo is pretty good, bacon wrapped shrimp are good, all the crabmeat dishes are excellent

Stuffed shrimp is awesome. Not just a bunch of bread and veggies like most places. Lots of crabmeat in the mix.

As others have said, atmosphere is like a nursing home.

I've eaten there 4 or 5 times when I've been at the hotel for meetings, but it's been several years. I agree the crowd is either older or family oriented. It's what I perceive to be sort of an "old school" place which is fine with me, sometimes. Everything I've had there has been very good except the last time I was there, the gumbo flavor seemed to change a bit and I didn't care for it. I know I've usually gotten something with crabmeat and it was always beautiful jumbo lumps. I'd go back again.

Old school , you're not there for the atmosphere. Food is very good & fresh.
