Tonight, Sweet Darla had Krab Salad, made from fake crab I believe.

Now I gotta have some.

Anyone (Darla?) have a knockout recipe for classic Krab Salad?

Yep. I saw that - too late. I am not a big fan of crab legs, so I'm still looking for the fake stuff recipe. Kind'a sweet, Kind'a Mayoish, Maybe celery. Anything else?

I think they may use a miracle whip type mayo for that sweet taste

Sorry, I don't have a recipe for Krab salad. I know the pic looked like it was krab, but on Saturday I bought some king crab legs and some snow crab legs.

King crab pictured here:

Because I was greedy, and bought more than could be eaten in one meal, I had lots of leftover crab meat:

I used some of the leftovers to make a salad (pictured in the dinner thread), and some to make a crab bisque (hopefully pictured in tomorrow's dinner thread).

I have no idea why I felt the need to explain that.

Darla, you don't have to explain nothing to me.

Now, how do you make your salad?

What about this:

Mayo (blue plate)
Creole mustard
Shallot
Celery
Onion
Bell pepper
Apple cider vinegar
Salt
Black Pepper
Cayenne
Lemon juice
Lemon zest

Maybe some fresh herbs?

Open the bag of butter and red leaf lettuce and throw some in a bowl. Dice half an avocado and arrange artfully. Season both. Slivers of red onion next. If the cherry tomatoes had looked better, I would have halved and seasoned some. Add as much crabmeat as you care to and crispy bacon bits. Dress with mayo, toss, taste for seasoning, dig in!

If it's an Asian-style krab/crap salad, Miracle Whip is used. Miracle Whip with CA roll roe is also used as a topping on some sushi rolls.

Don't have any specific recipes, but keeping it simple with a slight amount of fresh lemon juice would probably suffice.
