There was a Damon's Grill there, was that the original restaurant or was there something else also?

Koto was my introduction to raw fish, sushi rolls and the likes. I went in for hibachi at first and was fascinated by the rest of the menu since the sushi craze had not quite hit South Louisiana yet. I talked to Derek numerous times. He was always nice and pleasant. Good luck to him in the future.

Damn, but not surprising. Every time we went, mostly on week nights, there may have been 3-4 other tables tops.

Sushi was good and I loved their 1/2 price 1/2 roll thing. Allowed us to try different stuff.

The Koto on College Dr., what was that building before it became a Koto?

I have this vague memory of a donut shop on College Drive in the early 80's. Maybe Shipleys
