If you need one quickly they are very good by grocery store standards.

Too much filling is why I don't like most king cakes. It makes them sickly sweet.

Had one from Caludas for the 1st time. Way too much icing and filling. It was more of an iced blueberry cream cheese Danish than king cake.

I picked up a Bavarian cream king cake from Berry Town in Ponchy.

I am not a big fan of king cakes, but this one was outstanding!

We had their apple one Sunday. The filling was just silly. I get really pissed for some reason when someone comes strolling up to our spot with a huge king cake only to cut into it and see some goopy shite come oozing out.

I so agree about the Caluda's cake. Squishy, overfilled, overiced & sugared. It was like a bad foodservice, frozen-then-defrosted filled danish...the kind you get at a La Quinta free continental breakfast.

Well, I provide them with a bathroom, liquor, parking and seafood. The least they could do is show up with an actual king cake and not a freaking strudel.
