Just like Raxx back in the day. I guess BR isn't a viable roast beef market?

Haven't in awhile, but used to love the Big Montana, with extra Arby's sauce.

I blame it on two things.

1: The road construction on Jones Creek
2: They hardly ever had any customers

I often wondered how they stayed in business for so long, to be honest.

Now I want a roast beef poboy and two chocolate chip cookies from Raxx.

The one that was near Kornmeyers Furniture off Florida Blvd was a weekly stop for me.

Caution: A little long and not really worth reading.

I use to really like Arby's. Before they came to Baton Rouge, I would hit one every chance I got when traveling out of state. That's when they had the Arby's sauce in the squeeze bottles on every table. The sauce in the little packets don't taste the same to me.

A few years back I got a French Dip at one in Arizona. It was truly fantastic. Got back to Baton Rouge and ordered one. I was like, what the frick? Tasted shitty.

More recently, I ordered the Italian sandwich thing they've been advertising. It was pretty tasty. I went back like a week later to order another one. They didn't have three of the ingredients to make the sandwich. They didn't have the meats that day, my friends.

The issue with Arby's is that they have a value perception problem. The restaurant looks and feels cheap and the food ain't nothing special, yet they want to charge more for their stuff than other fastfood joints. The decision makers at Arby's are idiots.

Arby's French dip and loaded bake potatoe is incredible.

Their chicken cordon bleu and chicken bacon & swiss are better than every other fast food chicken sandwich except Wendy's and Chic-Fil-a IMO. Didn't really care about anything else on the menu.

One good thing is that the Arby's buildings don't stay vacant forever like the Jack In The Box on Coursey has .. That crap shut down in 2008 .. There are squatters living in it ..

The old Arby's on Coursey is Bull Chicks now and the one on Siegen was razed and a new restaurant is being built .. Hopefully, this will be the same ..
