Heard a rumor Superior was looking to make a move to pville. Specifically, the old Sammy's in pville.

Anyone else heard this?

Taco special is legit at Agave. Just wish they had better service. And maybe a hot little latin bar maid!

Donnie Jarreau is going to make fistfulls of cash with the places he bought from Sammy's.

Every Baton Rouge mainstay is being rumored to moving into those locations. Probably has a decent bidding war going on.

They already do it at the current locations.

That doesn't mean shite. The vast majority of BR is poor but there are still a lot more money than in P-Ville.

Go to the new Superior Grill on Highland. Look at the building, inside and out. Do the same for the former sammy's location. Then come back here and tell us if the rumor you heard has any merit.

That Prairieville location is more suitable for an all you can eat catfish house like you find on the back roads in Mississippi.

Prairieville is gonna be mostly redneck for a little while longer...sorry.

Do you have any inside information on the rumor being untrue other than a perceived arquitectural incompatibility?

I have no idea if the rumor is true or not, but maybe the owners of Superior Grill were aware of the near full parking lot most every night when Sammy's was in operation there, and might want to set up shop in what has been one of the fastest growing areas in the state for the last three or so decades.

At the risk of this sounding personal, and with your "redneck" comment, it sounds like a case of your own tenuous reality of that area being challenged in some way.

Dear Baton Rouge folk, stay in Baton Rouge. There is nothing for you to see in Prairieville. We are all backwards "Rednecks" who don't like Baton Rouge culture, food or politics.

Yeah, because I bet they would never consider renovations/remodeling.

I mean.. Superior Highland took over a disgusting shopping center that once housed Arzis and Monjunis. The owner isn’t necessarily afraid of new construction.

I don’t live in Prairieville or even go to Prairieville, but I love Superior and think it will print money anywhere it goes.

The LL would fund most of the renovations as TI in exchange for a long termed lease

Superior would do well in that location
Sammy's still did a great business at that location even though the quality went down
