I think being away from the corner(Corporate/Jefferson) will hurt them. However, it's probably the only area of town that could sustain it if it does make it. I think Le Madeleine has it beat on lunch and dinner.

Well there you go. Sometimes I know my shite.
And I like the lemon chicken orzo soup. I'll hit the place since I'm around that area most days.

We have plenty of bakeries in LC, they just all forgot that bakeries make bread as well as cupcakes.

I still don't get how a city the size of BR (230,000) could not support a Panera bread. There is one outside of Fairhope/daphne which is much smaller than BR.

Why do you say it's not supporting it? They just now found the location they want and when it opens it will do very well. I guarantee that.

Some of the previous posts stated that it would have trouble surviving in BR.

I just like that fact that a chain restaurant opened up in New Orleans BEFORE if opened up in Baton Rouge.
No matter what the nolatards want to happen, NOLA is going to be America's next great chain city.

I wasn't impressed when I've eaten there.

There are already a ton of mediocre chain restaurants in BR why do you want another one?

No one should long for Panera.
