Safe as in will you get sick? I would imagine that any food, cooked to proper temperature, will be just the same from fresh as it would frozen. The product may be different, but unsafe? I wouldn't think so.

I don't think you understand what the word "thaw" means.

Considering it will spend less time in the "danger zone", I can't conceive of how it would be unsafe. I also can't imagine the end product will be all that great.

Unless you're planning on frying it, then you're asking for trouble when all that (frozen) water hits grease.

Thaw it first, stick it in a sink or water and it will be ready to go in under 30 minutes.

I have frozen fish for a short time coated in cornmeal and fried directly from the freezer, not the best but not bad.

Falls under things you do with kids at the camp for quick meals category.

Yea baw, put that filet and package in cold water for like 15-20 minutes and it'll thaw out. 420 degrees, 15 mins cook time.
