I hadn't ate cereal in years but bought some last week to eat before work. It only takes about 3 hours at the most and I'm already hungry again totally useless.

Calorically something like Kashi Go Lean Crunch is enough for breakfast, but probably not enough to achieve satiety for most people.

The real head scratcher is that it's sold in restaurants.

Just curious what is the correct way to say that? Is it, I hadn't eaten? The sentence does seem like my inner redneck made an appearance haha.

Protein is what makes you feel full or gives you satiety. Cereal, regardless of Kashi or Froot Loops, all basically have the same nutritional value (MAYYYYYYBE a slight fiber difference), but it's basically all carbs. 1-3 g/fat, 30g/carbs, 0-2 g/protein.
Of course you will be hungry not long after. Nothing in there to keep you feeling full.

With that being said. I eat a ton of kid cereal. And love it

Same here. I eat a bowl of Cheerios nearly every day. Sometimes it's for breakfast, but more often than not, it's about 8:30 at night. If it's for breakfast, I get fancy and cut a banana up in it.

It is pretty nutritionally void but I enjoy it as a dessert about once a year.
