Never had Zaxby's but my problem with Cane's is the lack of "standardization", for lack of a better way to put it.

Sometimes the fingers would be large and plump with perfect moisture. Sometimes they would be shriveled and hard enough to use as a weapon.

I remember when I first moved to BR from Mobile I got some Canes and the first thing I thought of was it tasted like cardboard compared to Foosackly's

5 Finger Box Combo No Slaw, extra toast, with a sweet tea for exactly $5 after tax.

At least 10 years ago. I still remember when they would post signs on the door when the chicken price went up. Then they got smaller, one less finger, and still expensive.

I held Zaxby's in high regard for a while, had it recently and was waaaayyy underwhelmed. Menu has more options, but chicken not as good.

Doesn't seem as good as it used to be. Might be skewed by "back in the old days" mindset, though. ETA: Canes that is.

You mean the company Canes that has basically moved all their corporate offices and support to Dallas. I mean they technically still have their corporate headquarters in BR but that is basically just symbolic. They only have 25-30 at their "corporate headquarters."
