Strange question

Yes, definitely a good daily drinker. Good bourbon, aged 8 years. Very good for the price point.

usually things are at one of end of the spectrum or the other around here. No middle ground

Do you like it? That's really the only thing that matters.

Like an old-timer in Sonoma once told me: "You can buy a really good bottle of wine for $10 or a really shitty one for $65. Don't let anyone tell you what's good and what's not."

There are 16,743 posts in the Whiskey thread. I venture a guess that 1,873 of them mention Buffalo Trace and rate it. Most say it is good.

And I only drink bourbon that I like. My taste preference is far more important to me than a recommendation by someone posting on a food board that I don't even know.

I don't really see that holistically ….can you provide some examples?
yeah some restaurants get shite on here (Mothers) while others get extreme praise (Peche), but for the most part, this board is very fair.

It's good but the cheap dirty rat bastards that own the brand removed the handles from the handles of Old Charter 8 and completely obliterated the production of Old Charter 10. So screw them. I still buy their whiskey, but have not given up my dreams of kicking each member of their board of directors right square in their respective jimmies.

Of the under $30 bourbons, Buffalo Trace is the most drinkable IMO and I have always been partial to Wild Turkey. BT is an excellent everyday bourbon.

I probably could. Do I want to? No.

I just wanted to make sure I could order it and not get snickered at by someone like rohan2reed. Looks like he approved it, so I've got what I need to order one with confidence now

Same as it is with Acadiana folk and their Evangeline bread, Yats with their tomatoes, Livingston parishioners and their meth and so on and so forth. It's just something our parents raised us on.

It was my primary wedding bourbon (had some bulleit too), went through 4.5 handles and a lot of people were drinking it on the rocks.
