Inexpensive Shreveport dinner recommendations

My brother is coming to Shreveport this weekend for a conference. He has a "social" tonight for the conference with finger food but wants to grab something to eat afterwards. Where would you recommend going? Let's keep it to <$15/entree and they must serve alcohol. GO!

Oyster bar
Superior
15 can get you an entree almost anywhere here

This is true. I was just looking for somewhere casual I can eat some good food, grab a couple beers and catch up with my brother. Oyster Bar and Superior are on the list, but am worried they will be slammed per usual for a Friday night. What about Blind Tiger? I've never eaten there. Anywhere else close to downtown?

I haven't lived up there in about 6 years but Noble Savage used to have some pretty good food. Maybe somebody else who has been recently or lives up there could provide a little more information.
Oh, and another option is The Cub. Straight up dive bar with outstanding food. The steak and au gratin potatoes were always awesome when I lived up there.

Indeed, but make no mistake about it, the prices are well above $15.00 per person.

Blind Tiger is pretty good - if your brother carries a gun with him, I would recommend Herbie K's

This can be arranged. Blind Tiger is looking more and more likely. The conference is at one of the casinos so Blind Tiger would be close for him too.

I've eaten Blind Tiger for lunch and it's pretty good. Well seasoned and good service. I like the blackened catfish (creole honey-mustard sauce!) and the dirty rice, for some reason, is better than the jambalaya.
It kind of turns into more of a bar at some point of the night, though, I think?
