As soon as I get about halfway through my first beer, my nose gets dry as hell and extremely congested. I just started lightly drinking again after a few years off and this is new.

The only beers I have really had are Commotion and Envie FWIW

Any science behind this? Allergy?

Do you also get red splotches around your neck? Sounds like an allergy.

Welcome to the club. Certain beers, red wine, some champagne, a whole bunch of cheeses, etc etc. Flonase is your friend, when you get tired of avoiding all the things you like.

Haters gone hate

No whiskey, that is why I had to take a break. I cant drink it without acting like a douchebag.

I am doing an experiment right now and drinking an ultra. 3/4 way done and mild congestion. I guess I need to take some antihistimine before drinking.

Don't drink beer. I rarely do. There is a wide world of wine and liquor. You'll probably lose weight too.

I have sneezing fits with beer and wine. My endocrinologist said it was yeast. I just sneeze 17 times and pour another.

And this just started with me a couple years ago.

Here is your solution. They are probably behind the counter depending on what state you live in. It is basically generic Sudafed.
