Check out Tonys Seafood in NBR if you are willing to venture out.

Enjoy that first breath of smell when you walk in.

Yeah, thanks, I edited. The seaweed and cucumber salad which was paired with it was outstanding also (and I'm not the seaweed type, myself), but I'd recommend a side of rice with it if you get it.

Tony's is no joke. It's a big building and they have sheriff's deputies directing traffic in the parking lot. All sorts of good seafood: live, frozen and fried. And depending upon where you're doing flood cleanup, it may not be that far from where you're working.

I think the church is in Denham, so I'm guessing near there.

Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendations. A group of us went to Sammys last night. Some that are staying through tonight may go to Chimes when we're done working for the day. I haven't decided if I'm driving back to Birmingham tonight or waiting until tomorrow. This has been a hard two days of work and I'm just not sure if I'm up for 6 hours of driving. The pictures and videos of the flood damage don't do it justice. I'm not sure what little but we have done helps overall but I keep telling myself it definitely helps the couple of families we've been working for a ton.

You are OK in my book. If you see an old fart with an LSU cap wandering around here in downtown Homewood, speak up and let me buy you a beer.

Hint: You live in a bad food town if Red Lobster stays open.

Will do. I work downtown so I may wander over to homewood for a beer.

Picked up a 6 pack of Envie and a sampler 6 pack with several other LA beers. Eating at Canes and driving back to alabama in a few.
