Huckleberries where and when

This maybe a stupid question but where can I find huckleberries and when is the best time of year to find them.

peak season for picking huckleberries occurs between mid-August to mid-September. Harvested in the north west

Any place local that sells them (New Orleans area)? Like farmers market or something?

No clue, I pulled my facts off the google machine. I’m sure you can buy frozen and have shipped if you can’t find any locally

I've always found huckleberry in NW Montana and north Idaho.

My friend's parents always have a ton, but they live in Montana. Are you around there or in the South?

I've always found mine on the Huckleberry Haven site, shipped direct from MT. Their jam and syrup are excellent.
