I ate the Johnnys buffet on Warren Dr in West Monroe a few weeks ago and it is as good as it ever was. Fyi...Johnnys Buffet pizzas are cut in triangles and the regular pizza is still cut in rectangles. Also the owner of BJs used to work for Johnnys and tried to copy it. The biggest difference is Johnnys uses sourdough for their crust and BJs uses cardboard like most other pizza joints.

How much pizza/salad

Depends on the ingredients you can get on the food. If you can get avocado on the salad, that's a big $ score.

It costs about $1.50 to make a pepperoni pizza and about .06 for a 12 oz. Fountain drink. So they will make a killing no matter how much pizza a normal person eats.

6 cents? Nice.

Variable costs vary greatly per pie depending on quality of ingredients and products bought vs made in house. I've never done cost analysis on cheaply made pizza, but over the last 15 years I've seem the price of an average wood fired cheese pizza range from $1.10ish to $2 in restaurants I work with

Can't really add to the buffet type cost analysis, but I imagine it's probably around the VC $1 range per cheese pizza.

I don't think I've eaten at a pizza buffet in six years. Damn, I miss it. In my hey day, I'd probably eat 7-9 slices (didn't eat the crust) of a Gatti's sized pizza, three soft drinks, and a salad for dessert. I could've always eaten more, but that was the point I'd have to shut it down, or risk passing out at work.

An 8" Sweep the Kitchen is only $8 and much more satisfying.
