I'm in Houston and some people were complaining about the price of crawfish here at 7.99 a lb not counting potatoes, corn etc. How much is it back home now if you go out and get it? Seemed pretty high to me.

7.99/lb is the literally most expensive I have ever heard.

It was $2.50 before Easter in Baton Rouge. Prolly $2.00 or less now if I had to guess.

$2.50 + 1/2 cent. They added the 1/2 cent BS as a way to pay for the cost of the sacks going up.

Are there actually out of state people who are including the weight of potatoes along with the crawfish, and packaging it as a meal?

I was talking about live prices... But $7.99 is very expensive still.

Where were they paying that much in Houston? At that point you just need to buy a pot and learn yourself.

Yea, I live in Montgomery and there is a place here that is actually doing this. 8.99 a pound. That includes potato weight and corn weight. I laughed in the dudes face when he told me that and went and got hot boiled crawfish right down the street for 3.99 a pound. Really good too

Prices in Birmingham, AL for this weekend are $5.50/lb if you get less than 10lbs, $5.00/lb if you get more than 10 lbs

ETA: sounds like Houston is getting screwed.
