How many of you buy expensive alcohol?

Having a hard time understanding why one would spend $100+ on wasted calories. Especially the whiskey fad crowd. Buying $150 whiskey that tastes like $30 whiskey just because the maker deems it rare.
Could use that for a gym membership and a tub of protein powder to help cut down Louisiana’s obesity epidemic

i drink woodford reserve for my bourbon...not crazy expensive, but not cheap...if i'm drinking bourbon i want it as smooth as possible

Your pallet is obviously garbage. There’s a huge difference between $30 and one distilled differently, longer, etc.

I want to like expensive whiskey so bad because it looks like a fun hobby to have with buddies but I just hate the taste. I am hoping it will grow on me with age.
