Strictly talking lunch menu here. For some reason I keep going back and am very disappointed every time. I usually get some sort of chicken sandwich and it's so mediocre. Chicken is bland and typical dry, and the honey mustard just isn't the best. I doubt I'll be back but what should I be ordering from there?

I used to get their Cuban sandwich a good bit, but that was pre-City Pork. And I'd get their muffaletta, but now that Anthony's is just as close for me, I rarely go the Maxwell's at all. The Rustic Chicken is pretty good, but like you said, the chicken is always dry.

Order a salad with a side of the New Orleans shrimp remoulade salad. Fills you up without breaking the bank.

I hate Maxwell's. Like you, i would keep going back and be sorely disappointed. It takes them like 30 minutes to make a sandwich. Plus the place is dirty AF. Look at the floors the next time you go. Gross.

They take forever to make a damn sandwich or anything for that matter

Only bad meal I have ever had there was a hamburger at the perkins store it was dry and over cooked...but overall I like their sandwiches and the French bread that they use....also like the boars head meat in the deli....must do well with three locations and it's always full of customers...their take home meals are good and better than most....

The one up here is awesome. You can find some of the best cuts of beef in town and the blackened chicken salad is always spot on.

I'm not 12, which is why I get the sandwich as is. Unfortunately for me, honey mustard is the dressing of choice for them.

Eta: I was there for lunch today and it legit took 25 minutes to get my sandwich. I was getting uneasy there for a second

I'm not knocking the deli or grocery, as they have some very good stuff. Just the lunch is my complaint.

Eta: bocage milfs all over the place though

You're probably ordering the grilled chicken club, my favorite sandwich in BR. Order it on multi-grain bread and add mayo to the honey mustard.

Their burger and fries are great...that is all I have had, but I have eaten that multiple times.

info call my orders in, they can still take 25-35 minutes. And I'm not talking about peak lunch hours either.

Their Cobb salad is good. When I worked closer to the Perkins location, I would get that or their three side salad deal about twice a month.

I always enjoyed their lunch sandwiches. Their prepared meals are also very good.

Their meats are overpriced though

I thought it was OK when here in Lafayette. Good meats and prepared dinners.
Sorry when it closed.

Didn't know the Lafayette location closed. It was a nice place. But I guess there's so much in that area, and it's hard for them to compete with Fresh Market.
