I saw that my nearby bar will be getting this soon so I looked them up. They seem to be located north of the beltway near 249. They also seem to only have 3 beers so I suppose they are new. Any of yall had any of the beers?

They are off Cutten Road on Bourgeois near Willowbrook Mall in NW Harris County.
I've had all 3 of their beers. Nothing mind blowing but they are in their infancy.

7 Iron-typical light lager but well done for it's style
Color Blind Red IPA-solid IPA with a decent malt backbone.
Oso Bueno Amber Ale-it's an amber ale....

They've got some more in the works including a double IPA, stouts, and some Belgian variations.

Yeah I am looking forward to trying them out. I also may head to their brewery at some point in the near future when they have special events.

Are these easier to produce? Maybe its just a way to get started and get their foot in the door.

But yeah that lineup is underwhelming.

It seems to be common thinking that you must produce beer that easily draws in the masses before you can expand your portfolio

See: Parish Canebrake

It works, obviously, but for those of us that want more from our local brewers, it's disappointing.

Mavens don't pay the bills son. Amber ales and blondes do

They absolutely can. Commit to making something more, and do it right.

Heard someone saying great things about 8th Wonder brewery here in Houston but I've never had any of their beers.
