I know someone mentioned a particular type of glass. Can I make due with just a regular pint glass for now?

Yes. You'll be fine. The glassware can come as you get more into it. Enjoy that Rogue Dead Guy Ale. That is brewed over on the Oregon coast. They also brew a nice Chocolae and Double Chocolate Stout. Also their Hazelnut Brown Ale is really good. Most on the board will tell you to stay away from the rest of Rogue beers. I won't argue... Especially the ones in the pink bottle...

All I have are pint glasses. You can certainly enjoy craft beer without the "proper" glassware.

I saw the Oatmeal one. Almost pulled the trigger.

Was also very tempted by their 7 Farms (?) IPA but did not try it this time.

To the OP - try some of the Ommegang stuff on the top shelf.

I have yet to taste a bad Ommegang beer.

I'd try it. Bring me back to my college days, but classier.

Tried the cocodrie. Not too impressed. It's good, just not as hoppy(?) as I prefer? It's really light. I def prefer the Stone IPA.

Cocodrie is a Belgian IPA, some hops but with some sweetness. Too hoppy for a straight beligian.

Yes, I can definitely taste the sweet. But like others have said, I'm enjoying trying different TYPES and seeing the differences in types as opposed to breweries.

If you are an IPA fan that likes "dark beers" I'm surprised no one has recommended Dr. Hoptagon from Parish. Its a black IPA made in Broussard that is really really good.

I'm actually not a big fan of "dark beers."

Stone makes a lot of good IPAs. You can pretty much try any of their stuff and it will be a quality beer. Try their "Enjoy By" beer.
