Go to Sam's No.3 in downtown Denver. It's an institution and the food is good.

Snooze on Larimer is also good, you will likely have to stand in line. If you are gonna be there on a weekend? Rioja Brunch is delicious, Confit Duck and waffles for the win.

Also go check out Mythology Distillery while you're there. I think they moved it out of Denver though to get a bigger space, so it may be a bit far for you now. I haven't had any of their stuff yet, but I've heard a lot of good things about their whiskey.

ETA: Just looked it up and it's now a 2 hour drive to get to. Oh well. At least try some of the whiskey while you're out there. It's one I've personally been wanting to taste, but we have zero distribution here

First Watch & Black Bear Diner were my go-to’s for breakfast.

Really great traditional breakfast at both. Southeast Denver

You want the Franklin and the cheese grits with the buffalo sauce and a Strawberry Mule. It’s simply erotic.

I sat in that spot from about 10am until about 4pm when my friends landed! Drank beer and had dinner there too. People watched all day, quite interesting
