We poked our head in Happy's (when we went to Walk-ons New Years Eve to get a bite--had the kids with us so Happy's was out for us) but. The handful of people that were there were not college age. They had a nice outdoor seating area with a TV. We plan on going back next weekend when we have a sitter for the kids.

I wouldn't think many college kids have much of a desire to go out there

booze makes college kids do crazy things, J ... the place has been packed lately .. I don't think the neighborhood folks are doing that .. although I could be wrong ..

we rode by today, scoped out the patio.... usually we are on the patio at georges but we're going to try out happys and see how it is. the bands at georges are getting louder and louder anyways. i did notice they didnt have any heaters out there.

I went on the Wednesday night before Christmas. It was okay, but it there were also a decent amount of roid types with Ed Hardy tight t-shirts and spikey hair. I work on Sherwood so I'm sure I'll be back for a beer or two after work on occasion.

I have gone a couple of times...My go to place on this side of town now

TV's and bathroom better than the other happys...bigger than the other happys...It seems they have a larger beer selection on tap at this one as well

The only thing I dont like about it is you cant smoke inside...Im sure others will disagree with me on this one though

I'm not a big fan of Happy's downtown (too crowded), but I'll be willing to give the Coursey location a shot. I'm all for more drinking options in that area of town.

I am one to disagree with you.

My lungs have always hurt the next day after a few hours in a smokey bar and I find I am even more sensitive to smoke since having pulmonary embolism this past June, so it is a welcome change of bar pace for me. But I don’t hold it against any one who does smoke because I can see the joy of some good tobacco and good beer together. If I am in a place where there is a lot of smoke I can always step outside for some fresh air.

Yeap. Tried to go to Times Grill the New Years Eve (6 pm) for a burger and beer and the place was closed. I have seen a few old End Zone peeps in Times lately, just b/c it is close to our neck of the woods and they are like me and don't want to drive far. But I do miss the End Zones $8 pitures of Abita Amber and his wings. Out of desperation we tried Hooters again and I had gutt rot for days.

A Port-o-Let on Mardi Gras night on Canal Street would give that one a good run. Never have I been so glad that I do my business standing up.
